Overview
These terms apply when you book a wedding film, engagement film, or destination film with Jesko Films. By signing the contract or paying a deposit, you agree to them.
Bookings
A booking is confirmed when the contract is signed and the deposit is received. Until both happen, the date is not held. Wedding film bookings include the deliverables outlined on the films page (4 to 8 minute wedding film, 8 to 10 social cuts, plus duo additions where applicable). Destination weddings include travel and accommodation as quoted upfront in the proposal.
Payments and deposits
A non-refundable deposit secures the booking. The remaining balance is due 30 days before the wedding. Canadian clients pay by e-transfer through Wave. International clients pay by card through Stripe.
Cancellations
If you need to cancel, the deposit is non-refundable. Cancellations within 30 days of the wedding are responsible for the full balance. If we need to cancel for reasons within our control, we'll refund all payments and help arrange another filmmaker where possible.
Use of final films
You receive personal-use rights to the final film and all delivered cuts. We retain the right to use excerpts in our portfolio, on social media, and in submissions to industry features unless you request otherwise in writing. Final films are delivered via password-protected Vimeo links within the timeframe agreed in the contract.
Limitation of liability
We deliver our work to the standard outlined in the contract. In the rare event of equipment failure, illness, or factors beyond our control, our liability is limited to the amount paid. We carry insurance for typical wedding work.
